UniSkills is a student-focussed package of activities and online resources used to help you improve on a range of essential academic skills and help you to develop a successful approach to writing your University assignments.
Visit our web pages to access a number of recommended academic resources, subject specific resources and useful online guides including information about planning your assignment, referencing, academic writing and dissertations.
We can also provide support and guidance in person at the Ask desk and in group sessions with your module tutor. (If you would like us to work with a group, please contact the tutor for your module and request a Learning Services information and research skills session).
Come along to the Ask desk to see a member of the Academic Support Division for advice on any aspect of your studies. We can help you to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies and skills which you can use as you plan and write your assignments and also offer help searching for information and using eResources.
Throughout the year, we will be running a series of UniSkills workshops. These 1-hour sessions are delivered by our dedicated team of skills advisors and will cover topics such as starting your research, academic writing and dissertations. To attend one of these workshops, simply book online through our webpages www.ehu.ac.uk/uniskills
We also have a series of UniSkills online interactive toolkits which you can access 24/7 from your PC or mobile device via the GO portal. First log in to GO, then click on your subject resources tab (in the top right-hand corner) and select the toolkit that you require.
If you require further help or wish to speak to your subject librarian, please come and see us in person at the Ask desk (Ormskirk) or help desk if you are at a site library. Alternatively, you can Ask Us online.
