Most courses in Blackboard have a Collaborate link in the left menu. If you want to check your equipment can access Collaborate you can go into that room and check that you microphone is working (note the microphone icon changes colour when it is transmitting sound from your microphone) and that your web camera is working with Collaborate.

Note that it's good practice to get to an online session 10 mins or so before the scheduled start to enable you to check your equipment is working and make any necessary adjustments.
