Ideally, book an appointment with Careers to talk to us about preparing for your interview.  However, the information below should help.

Prospects has a comprehensive section about preparing for interviews, interview types, question types etc.

Book an appointment with Careers for a mock interview This is a good opportunity to practise and receive feedback.

You can practise by using Interview Stream It is a video interview programme and you can review your answers by yourself or with a Careers Adviser.

Interview questions are likely to be based around the Person Specification – a document that usually accompanies a job vacancy. Write a STAR example for all criteria on the Person Specification.

Do your research before the interview – into the role, the organisation and current issues. Think of a couple of questions you would like to ask at the end of your interview.
