As long as the item has not been requested by another customer we will automatically renew your items for you a few days before the due date.

We will email you to let you know if we haven't been able to renew and what the new due date is for the items that we have been able to renew. To prevent fines, it is important to check your Edge Hill email account or the My Account function within the Library Catalogue regularly. 

Fines will only be charged on items that are in high demand and that are not returned by the due date. The rate for overdue items is 25p a day.

You can still renew items yourself in the following ways:

  • Via the helpline (06195 650800)

  • Via the Library Catalogue

  • At any staffed University Library (Catalyst, Aintree or St. James' Manchester)
