There are four main reasons why SPSS may not be installing.

  • If during the installation process you see this error code 1152: error extracting…, it means that the pen drive is faulty. Please get in touch and we will provide you with an alternative.


  • The firewall or anti-virus software on your computer may need to be switched off before you install SPSS and turned back on again afterwards. This is not always necessary as it is dependent on the settings on your computer.


  • If your installation has stopped at the registration page then your connection with the internet may be the problem. Stop the installation, check that your connection is working and begin the installation again.


  • The installation process can take some time and the instruction notes will tell you when you need to be patient and wait for the next stage. If you press the keys too soon in between stages the installation can ‘lock’ and you will need to restart your computer and begin the installation again.
