The short term solution is to click ‘Open Content in a new tab’ at the bottom of the right hand sidebar.

Freely Accessible Journals

If there is a sad face or the link doesn’t go to the actual article, just the journal homepage and the journal provider is ‘Freely Accessible Journals’ then there is a known issue with the way these journals provide metadata; the links rarely take you to the actual journal article.

  • Click ‘Open Content in a new tab’
  • This will usually take you to the journal homepage
  • Use the information from the sidebar to locate the correct issue and page.
