The SpLD Support Team provide specialist study skills support to help students develop strategies to support their learning.  You can access support from your first contact with the service.  The team can advise you around accessing diagnostic assessments to obtain evidence which will support you in applying for Disabled Students Allowance. (Please note students are asked for a contribution of £100 towards the cost of an assessment, please discuss this with your advisor).  The team will also support you in applying for exam modifications, composing a Student Support Plan to inform the department of the challenges you experience and how they can best support you.  They can support you in using Assistive Technologies as a strategy to support tasks such as proofreading and assignment planning.
